Sylvia Day is a Sarasota-based stand-up comedian known for her sharp observational humor and uncanny impressions with just the right amount of edge. Though she’s only been performing stand-up since early 2025, Sylvia’s rapid ascent through the Florida comedy scene has already made her one to watch. Described as a “rising star” and “one of the fastest-growing comics”, she’s already earned featured spots, been a finalist in competitions such as Florida's Funniest Comedian and the World Series of Comedy, and has been booked at renowned venues such as LA Comedy Club in Vegas and The Comic Strip in New York.

As a professional actor and member of Actors' Equity Association, Sylvia has performed principal roles at renowned regional theatres such as Asolo Rep in Sarasota. As a writer, she brought her original solo sketch comedy show "50 Shades of DAY!" to Europe, Chicago and Off-Broadway.

Born in the USA to Brazilian-Swiss parents, Sylvia brings a global perspective and a unique voice to the stage. She speaks five languages and spent much of her life living in Europe, adding layers of cultural insight to her act. Whether she’s riffing on the absurdities of modern life, wowing fans with her spot-on impressions or sharing the inner thoughts of her viral Instagram-famous pug Dave (13 million views and counting!), Sylvia’s material is sharp, surprising, and refreshingly original.
